This great new opportunity Computer aided Paperctaft gives for a lot of Modeling, and Gizmo fun, got me thinking, why only Paper, great Media it is, there's also Plastic Sheet, and so many others...

So I came up with this Crease Rig, just some Meccano pieces, to make a slot, and a third one, to make a neat and easy Crease, on harder meterial:

It works like this:

And it folds like this:

Easy!

Yup, those are good ideas, and just saw your page, man, that's some serious work done, there...

I'll go back now, to learn some more. About the Fokker, everyone should read his auto-biography, "the flying dutchman", amazing Inventor, he was, and from an early age... http://www.flickr.com/photos/redbarongallery/4880378090/

I am a structural package designer and there is an even easier way to do this.

Using mat board you can cut two pieces and glue them down on another to create a "channel" that would be a coin thickness apart. Then use the coin to create a crease. You can also use a screen window making tool that is a wheel with ball bearings in it so in glides over the paper.

I program my models in a cad program and let my plotter do the work of cutting and creasing. It also has a pen tool if I want to draw on the model. Check my models must are done as 1 or 2 pieces and fold together with tabs and tucks like boxes.

Oh brilliant! This is perfect, I'm doing some laser cutting soon with plastic, so this is going to be a great help. Thanks!

Personally I use a regular craft knife and just gently cut into the paper to crease/score it. But that usually results in white lines on folds. This is clever.
