Designing Papercraft questions.....

Oi! Hello I am new to the world of the papercraft. I just have a few questions about designing a paperkraft.

Photoshop or Illustrator?
I am not sure which one to use. It seems like people would use Illustrator, but I'm not sure.

Which formatte is better: .JPG or .PDF?
I have seen many-a-papercraft, and some use one or the other. Though I do know about .PDO but that is for that Papurkra (I think) viewer.

And Finally:

Which kind of printer is better : Inkjet or Laser?
I have used both so I understand the difference between the two. But I'm not sure which is better for papercrafting. I have heard that injet is probably the best for papercrafts. I'm not sure though.

Well, if anyone could help me that would be great, because I have some awesome ideas for papercrafts.

Comment by Cubeecraft on May 15, 2009 at 9:14pm: Illustrator is great because you can scale your models up and down easily but it can be tricky to wrap your head around the pen tool - though it's totally awesome once you do. I tend to use Photoshop just because I think it's faster/more fun. It really comes down to personal preference and the project you have in mind,

I use jpg because I feel more people have applications that can handle the format vs PDF. Again, I work raster in Photoshop and generally 1 page - PDF is nice for multipage pieces and vector art.

I have not had enough experience with different printers to say which is better. The one where I work is a laserjet (I believe) and sometimes the ink flakes off when the paper is folded a bit.
