This is great.

I believe we all bear the need to express our experiences, be they good or bad, pretty or ugly (in the end, it's all a matter of perspective anyway). And, it would be a shame if we were to limit the creative means by which we allow ourselves to be expressive. Paper, and the "toys" we make with it, is just a medium, something through which we can manifest our creativity. There should't be any boundaries, be they openly expressed or tacitly agreed upon, to what can or can't be done with it. Sure, toys are fun. They make us smile & laugh, but they can also make us think & question, frown & cry.

As such, this toy is a welcomed wakeup call. It reminds us that what we all begin with is just a blank piece of paper, an empty space open to infinite possibilities & outcomes. We shouldn't restrain ourselves. Instead, we should embrace this potential and unitize it in order to express ourselves in whatever manner we see fit.

well i guess its cause i associate paper crafts whit happy and creative things...and whit cancer there is nothing happy or creative about it...every thing i went trough when i had cancer was horrible and painful...sorry to hear you have or deal whit a tumor..hope every thing goes well..and consider your self lucky that its that simple even me whit all i had to deal whit whit cancer i consider myself lucky..

I no have problems, is an experience of passage.
Some types of tumor happen easily in young, but are easy to treat.
I made a shield of paper against the bad weather. ;-)

There are two artist who I feel are elevating Paper Craft to the higher level. Vins is one of them. Sorry to hear about your affliction. Let us know if we can help. I know I would appreciate any assistance if this were my case.

I also am experiencing this first-hand experience now.
I do not know yet how it will end for me, but I know what I'm talking about and what I mean.
and my intention is to share my experiences, put them in my work.
in general I want to show the work with paper
not as toys, but as artistic work.
I appreciate any kind of constructive comment! also different ideas. bye

Most people on a daily basis don't think or care about cancer until it affects them personally. This Paperkit is a proactive way to bring cancer to the attention of that kind of audience.
And I really don't find this offensive or in bad taste, either...bad taste would be to throw in a character the way Southpark would.

man...this seems to bother me...im a cancer survivor and im very familiar whit chemotherapy..i just think its in bad taste..i think there's many other things that can be done in paper form but this is just not a good thing to be showing off..no bad feelings to the artist ...
