TIFF is an image format (just like JPG), but it is "loss-less", and your computer already understands it. It is compatible with all photo/image editing software such as Paint Shop Pro, PhotoShop, Gimp, Serif Digital Scrapbook Pro, etc.

And because they are in that format, these images can be manipulated in that kind of software to change the piece sizes and make the model as large or small as you want, and re-saving, without loss of image quality (as often times happens with JPG files). What can also be done is to layer new decorations (such as wallpaper or flooring) onto any of the pieces too, giving it the individual modeler's personal touch.

Here is a sample image from the furnished dollhouse kit (Library furniture). To get it to upload into this blog post I had to convert it to PNG, because this site only accepts a few types of image formats. Sorry.

Anyways neat models, and how do you open a TIFF? I'm not sure either.
