Vending machine....what a cool idea....but just the idea of an exhibit, that's cool too, feel free to use any of my models. It's kind of interesting how any of us could do this, without actually having to see each other. Just download the various models and bang, exhibit ready to go. If I can find a proper venue in my city, maybe I can do something like this, I am just not very resourceful in this respect. I go to a local art gallery and typically I am disappointed. You know, always the same ol' thing, nothing dazzling. Not like what we do! haha! As far as money, I hadn't really thought much about that, just the success of the creation, but with the vending machine idea you could just print em out right there and give them away. That should leave one hell of an impression. "Oh you like that one? Here take it, it's free..." That's just me, I seem to be attracted to poverty and repelled by anything too capitalistic. What is wrong with me? What is the next level???

I would definitely be up for contributing, even to make a new model for the show. Is there a theme?

I agree with the idea of a computer terminal that prints off the models on demand for people too... *dreams of a vending machine*

I would LOVE to have any of my toys shown in your exhibit. If any are sold you can put the money toward the expense of getting the exhibit ready - I don't want any money back. If you do have an exhibit, send me your address and I will send some made toys.
Best Regards,
Jacque

i told about money cause if someone at the exhibition ask me for buy a piece i would like to know what answer to this person...
about the toys i think the best solution for sell them is to sell them already making. cause if you sell the template everybody can copy it and i think you'll sell once... i don't think that's a good idea to sell piece at the exhibition but maybe if someone is interested i can give an email adress where people can send a request for having toys and like that artists can do what they want...
what i think is wonderfull is to do this exhibition of the most famous papertoys creator (i think we can all found on nicepapertoys) i see that with my children eyes ....
image a room with hundreds toys....
financial part is just for know what answer if the question is asked..
that is like a community of creator...

I think an exhibit would be a wonderful idea--since most of the population is unaware of our community of work, a display of already created pieces might be simplest. Though I'd also say, some of us would be willing to create new customizations or models just for the chance to have the work on display.

As for the financial part, anything that I've already put online, I would have trouble trying to put a monetary value on. I've wondered about this issue also.

Paying the different artists would be technically difficult to do, but if there was an agreed charity we could send profit toward, I think that would be quite "Nice."

One strategy would be to have a computer with all of our collected templates on it, and ask for a "service and materials donation" for cardstock/ink expenses/charity donation, and print off a copy for the customer.

There is a local art fair that I have often wanted to put up a booth at, where people could see some of the art from the Nice PaperToy community--but I simply don't have the time to coordinate such a thing right now...
