I think him being part of a group of items is a good idea.

Hmm thanks Cubeecraft. Well, if I release this, I don't intend to make it customizable i.e. this is just one unique character. Other characters will be based off other items, such as cans. bottles etc.

Yeap, I think I gotta work on the presentation of the arm.. It's true that it could get missed:)

Ah, Dr Shazam, it's actually very very small, about 4 cm wide, only meant to be a display item, or to put little trinklets or gaming cartridges in.

I think it's cute, but I missed that that was an arm at first. I think some people will dig it but it also reminds me of Towely from South park. I've seen lines of Japanese toys that are just groceries or fruit or household items etc so why not paperbags? This one is obviously a paperbag, so would the rest all still resemble bags in some way? Would it just be another face with a different sale tag? I imagine if you went nuts with the design the viewer may not know it's a paper bag anymore - Is that a good thing or a bad thing?

I would think that if you could no longer tell it was supposed to be a bag then why make it a bag? On the other hand you are forcing yourself and anyone that may use the template to make a cool design but also make sure it looks like a bag. That may be a challenge (which isn't a bad thing).

Cute design, but in this instance, the function of the item seems to overcome it's "toyness." I don't get a great concept of scale in this picture--perhaps that's a presentation issue--if this is a tiny toy, then that makes it a little more playful. From my angle, the function or utility of a bag/sack overwhelms the toy aspect of the project. It's obvious that you've put some good work into it, though!

Ah... I was thinking of doing a set of toys in a similar kind of style out of simple household objects.

What do u think of the current one?

Well, maybe give a little bit of more information... all toys will have different shapes of package design? What are the "friends", etc. Right now, i can only look at the pic and think "yes, could be fun". but for more i lack additional info.
