You gave props where props are due, so I apologize for my earlier comment, but 'Inspired by the works of Michael Lau', shouldn't this appear on all your promo graphics for the piece? As a casual contributer to NPT it's not the first time that that I've seen work from you that draws more than "inspiration" from other artists' work. Hell, Shin Tanaka became so defensive he devoted an entire project in retaliation - We Don't Know Fake. Unfortunately for me, that page has been taken down. Phil, I'd love to see more of this:

Having said all that, Shin Tanaka himself started out by creating paper models of vinyl collectibles that he himself could not afford to buy. So maybe it takes one to know one, or maybe he just learned quicker.

@CAF3N CANC3R - if you give the original artists due credit, then no.

I remember
I began to see a man's head Spry-can
in the 90s, although certainly existed long before;
there is no patent on this, is an easy concept to invent
I saw something even draw by child, anyone can invent again.
then the other author has in turn copied? no.
the meaning is another, Phil has put his spirit in what he did
its identity.

In this day and age where everybody gets bombarded with images, papers, television, movies, internet, etc. How can you not be influenced or inspired.
I've seen so many toys both paper & vinyl with a similar theme.
I could easily say Micheal Lau stole the idea from Castleforte...

I do not understand! I started the project BOX_CAN (with a definite identity) and I just wanted to develop the project with KING_CAN .....
Why now pass for a thief? indeed, always pass for a thief! I robbed you or something? I am tired of this .... I continue on my way ... my influences are familiar all right ... if someone does not know me, would do well to read my interviews ... I live in a state of shit ... in fear for the future ... where there is no collaboration ... fuck that!
Now even here I find people who understand me?
