Sofia Grl Bali Custom
My custom for 3eyedbear's Sofia. Realizing that there are not much papertoy with 'cultural' feeling to it, I'm trying to recreate "Barong" as a papertoy. Barong is a mythical creature from Bali, he is the king of the spirit world who is told to fight the evil Rangda. If you happened to visit Indonesia, I really recommend you to spend sometime in Bali. I'm sure you will find something that suit you be it food, sun tanning, surfing, hiking, scenery, art, soul search experience, atmosphere or even the eternal party people.

Awesome model. I dare to imagine how beautiful Bali is. I am heavily into mythology from various cultures, and know a little about Barong and Rangda. Very interesting stuff. I just downloaded this from your site, can't wait to build it!

I love it! Great detail! I like that you've incorporated your cultural background into the design, I think it gives it a bit more life and meaning. It doesn't just represent your style and artistic sense but you as a person. Really cool!

It is! I love the cultural approach, which makes Sophia truly an international canvas and a friendly (I hope Barong is...) representation of Indonesia from somebody actually Indonesian!
