Like all of my work, these are constructed with out glue, because i'm crazy. I use scrap-booking paper and cream colored card stock to make my paper toys. Oddly the biggest challenge with the narwhal construction was the tail. It's head i had already figured out when designing a cupcake for a friend of mine(pics to come later).
A lot of the works i see on here have fantastic graphic elements, but I am much more focused on the structure of the piece. It is for this reason that i use scrap book paper, its already patterned on both sides, and i can use it much like fabric to accentuate details of the design.
The Narwhal is part of a series of arctic animals i am working on. I have completed the polar bear for the series, but am struggling with its skeleton.
I also have the beginnings of my musk ox which is really just a head that for some reason looks more like a water buffalo.

Nice skin on the narwhal and great idea to do skeleton 'twins' of your models, but challenging!! I love it.
