Among the traditional dances of Java (indonesia) are a number of trance dances. Kuda Lumping is one of these trance dances, in which masks for spirit character and flat woven bamboo horses are the main props. The dance is about the battle of good and evil, with the horse riding characters into a trance where they behave like horses.

I pre-ordered my copy and it just came in the mail. I have enjoyed looking at the pages and reading the interviews. The interviews were fun, interesting and enlightening. Thanks to the artists who participated. Made it a great book. Thanks to Matt for bringing this art to people who do not have easy access to a computer/color printer (like my students). This my custom for Calling all Cars his name is Mac and he drives a Taxi for a living. He is disgusting and Lazy his hat is covered in patches one of his lights are broken his ears are filled with earwax and even the car is rusty and the black cubes on the sides arent even put on straight also someone taped a piece of paper that says "Dont Care". But as Lazy this guy is when he gets angry hes a real speed demon so maybe even I could win this race…
