@3eyedbear: One of the our primal toys? I know Brickboy is one of the first but what are the other ones? They sound so mysterious!

i wanted to do the hands correctly [out of respect] and was shocked to find there aren't any pictures of this classic here on NPT, or on the web for that matter, none that i could find anyway...

I guess you have Merrci. Brickboy is one of our primal godfather toys. This toy launched careers  like that of Castleforte or Kamstra.

yes! this is a classic. the toy many point to as the beginning of paper toys as we know them.
