Hey man.

When you say blank cube do you mean a template or a net for a blank cube? are you going to use it for your toy's template? if so then i think that is a good idea for a beginner like you, but after this you should REALLY try and avoid taking bits and pieces of other templates. But to make it easier for you on your first try, use this one.

But remember, after this model try and create ALL parts of your model from scratch. Just wondering man, whats your idea for this model? What is it going to look like? What is the concept behind it? will it be an alien, a vehicle, an animal, a cute character, an Urban kinda Character, a building or just an interesting variation on the human form eg hoody by DMC or Hedkase by Nicebunny.

By the way man, have you first tried to make designs for others models first? i just rememberd this! lol :P

It can be easier this way. SImply find a blank model of someone elses that you like and add color and graphics to it. I would recommend doing some of these before running into making your own model.

Ofcourse its up to you man!
