Happy Little Cupcake -Birthday Time

Happy Little Cupcake is a folded and cut paper toy using VERY SIMPLE origami folds. Available on flickr is a blank template for a "color your own" cupcake and also one I have colored. To make the Happy Little Cupcake, cut out the square, fold the sides to the back along the dotted lines, making a kite shape. Fold the bottom point behind and fold it back again on itself, so that it can be used for the cupcake to stand-up. Slip a penny or other small weight in the bottom to help it stand up. Valley fold the middle line and then mountain fold the line above it. Then cut around the top of the cupcake, rounding the frosting. If you make your own "Happy Little Cupcake" I would love to see your photos. And if you would like to make "Happy Little Ice Cream Cone, all you need to do is omit folding the bottom point to the back.
