    As far as I know, as long as you don't profit financially from it's sale, you are all good. It's called "fan art" and many folks do it. Just state that all rights belong to Johnny Cupcake and you have no affiliation with the company. If you look at the folks at Nintendopapercraft they put at the bottom of their page "Pretty much everything on this page is Copyrighted and/or Trademarked to Nintendo & its affiliates." That's it. If the company has a problem with ya they'll send you a "cease and desist order" at which point you take down the model and again, you're all good.

    That being said, you never know Damien if they would like to buy the rights of the toy from you and release it themselves as a promo. A win win situation. but I'm not going to argue with you if you want to release it for free. lol
