I know , it's like a third leg or tiny stand to Stabilise the toy i think?

the third leg is there, just not in the photo. but i'm still left with a random piece of black. on the template it's just beneath the feet, which made me think it was a way to put backing on the legs, just as the 6 arms have a swatch of color for their backing. as of now, it's in the trash, i really don't see a need for it.

regardless, this is an awesome toy.
