optimus and me

A very rare occasion with me in the picture.Yep I know this is a bit different than I usually do. It has taken me 6 months to make this with an amazing amount of card and glue. It stands just over 4 foot tall and I am never ever going to build something as big and time consuming as this again!! :)

  • Greenelf

It has 796 parts and I forgot to say its from the other great site www.http://paper-replika.com
  • Sinner

Gadzooks, thats massive.  Is that 100% size or did you make it bigger.  I have the templates for the Paper Replika Optimus.. maaany pages.  Well done with the willpower to finish it.  Nice model.  I thought about doing the big Unicorn Gundam model but i'm missing the legs still

  • PHIL

  • karen trinidad

Omg this is amazing. I don't think I'd have the patience to finish anything like that. You did a great job.
  • Leanne (Anne Götze-Piening)

Beautiful thing. Amazing! What patience is needed for this. I take my hat off to you!! Great!
  • jasoncbolt

Great job Greenelf. That had to take some super patience. As Phil said; Respect.
  • George McKnight

Man! That's impressive. 796 parts has got my head thumpin', where do you start, where did you build it, where are you keeping it...

  • hadzry

6 month was quite fast... amazing!!

but if u print it on a3 size paper... woahhh!!!

  • Greenelf

many thanks for the comments and I'll clear a few things up, yes this came from Paper-replika.com and it is 100% and printed on A4 paper (253 sheets of card), I was at the start going to increase it by half and i'm glad i did not. It is currently sitting on top of a wardrobe in its parts as I have no idea what to do with it? I never thought about it until I had made it? All my models always go into the recycling bin and i mean ALL, but maybe not this one....don't know?
  • baykiddead

    dude.... i'm floored.
  • Methuup da Funky One

As Aretha used to sing R.E.S.P.E.C.T. Damn that's a lotta work, I'd go ga-ga trying to build something like that.
  • Sinner

It's too cool for the recycle bin.  If you don't keep it, you should donate it to a charity auction or something.  Just a thought :)

  • Mike P

    Whoa!

    Much Respect!

That things bigger than my my kids!

Nice painting in the background to. Really pulls the room together.

  • Alex Gwynne

That's outstanding! You could keept it in the bath then take it out when you use it (probmel solved haha). Thats huge!
  • Greenelf

that's what I thought Sinner but there is no charity's based near us, we are a small town. I am going to keep my ear out for anything happening over the next couple of weeks then I will have to decide....it's taking up a lot of room.
