Hi everyone... i was just thinking about this, when i sat in class just now? in language studies, we differentiate a lot of reading material into many categories, this is what we call as genre, what do you think if papertoys have a genre? i open this discussion for all, but i would like to listen to the pro artists opinion? let us share our tought...
i think there are genres.
but not yet defined.
because like music, most of it's genres defined by media... but in papertoys we haven't got any media to define the genres, as the papertoys maker are still in small number,
I agree with Eric, it's a bit too creative and a bit too independant and small a culture to be set into distinct genres. I don't think it's time to split 'papertoys' into different sectors quite yet!
Although, paper toys are a genre of their own, within the design world.
i think the genre on the papercfat are more like the periods of the styles used on them like periods onthe art minimalistic abstrac cubist things like that and as ben“s says its to early to put genres to the papercraft the time is the only judge here
