SOPA and PIPA would bring the risk of DNS removal of any website that links to "any" website which "any" entity believes some sort of intellectual property infringement is occurring.

There are many paper toy websites that display or link to paper toy models patterns of characters or designs by others - those sites and the sites that actually host the files would be targetted for DNS removal. 

This bill gives any company that owns content the power to bypass website owners.

As the bill was written, any company had the power to censor any website containing almost any piece of content it did not want to be displayed. Nike could have your blog removed if you display or link to a paper toy with the Nike logo on a shoe. They would claim that the logo on the toy is trademark infringement.

The sponsors of the bill claim that some of these more draconian and broad-sweeping powers have been removed due to the complaints already recieved over te bill - these clauses and processes could be reintroduced at any time in the future when the media lobbyists think people aren't paying attention.

SOPA and PIPA are ostenibly all about prevention of illegal copying, but the bill would actually function as a powerful censorship device for any company that wants sole control over it's public image and message. Determing Fair Use would become the full and costly burden of any small content creator that dares to use an image or sample of another petson's work... Even if they are just writing a review.

The content company could shoot first and ask questions later.
