Hi, Im looking for some advice from seasoned Blender experts (that means everyone who knows more than me! 99.9% of people!) Ive just started to use Blender for 3d design of my next paper toy, but im having some issues, I have watched & saved all of 'Peter's Massive Blender tutorial' on you tube and that got me off to a flying start!
But one issue im having is linking individual objects/shapes/faces. I have basically a cone shape that I am trying to attach a cube to at one end, I can create both shapes fine and place them together, but they act as 2 seperate shapes! Is there a way I can link them together so the edge of the cube fits perfectly to the edge of the cylinder?
Hopefully I have explained ok, Ive attached an image to try and show what I mean. Any help will be greatly appreciated, ive searched google, but as im not sure of the correct terms it doesnt help much!
I suggest you join the vertices manually - extrude new vertices from the one's near your box then join that with the appropriate vertice of the box. Takes a while but it does the trick. That's how I'd do it - but only because that's the only way I know how. LOL
