Hello to all the NPT members!
Some of you may know that I'm currently on the look out for talented artists to contribute on a new book I'm working on called The Character Book (vol. 1)!
The book will feature some of the hottest Character Designs (& Designers) out there, in a similar fashion to the popular publication of Pictoplasma's Character Encyclopedia!
I would really love to feature some paper toys in the book, so I thought I'd let all you guys know - in the hopes that some of you may be interested. :)
More information can be found here.
If you'd like to contribute to the book please send me an email jenni (at) creaturekebab (dot) co (dot) uk and I shall forward you the official brief.
Best wishes and looking forward to hearing from you!
- Jenni
Hi Jenni,
I would love to participate and I have a character I have been working on named Yanci the Yeti and you might have seen my recent posting of the paper toy I created using the illustration from a poster I designed for a recent event. I tried to get to the information from the link in your posting, but it would not link (DNS server error). I would love to participate. Is there someplace else to get the info?
Thanks
Scott
I'm looking for work of a reasonably high quality, and original - quirky - cute characters.
The official brief (that I have been sending out via email) lists 50 categories/themes I am looking for. For example No. 8 is "A Yetti Wearing Socks". These categories are all intended to inspire and direct your work, so once I piece everyones work together it will be coherant.
Again, please email me if you would like a copy of the brief to read through. :)
Im no papertoy creator but here are some of my characters i hand drawn http://www.flickr.com/photos/36535724@N05/
some more of them will be posted by Friday & Saturday!

Some chosen artists will be asked to produce work for single or double page spreads. :)
