I did a series of papercraft politicians for the upcoming elections in Belgium and got picked up by national media. Here's the link to "SOS Politicians", a series of papercraft models I made representing politicians running for elections 2009 in Belgium, which are held June 7th. It's in Dutch, mind you. The models are absolutely crappy :) I didn't aim for beauty, but wanted a simple design, both for me -- I made 2 models each evening for a week -- as for my audience. And guess what ? I got picked up by national media : 2 newspapers and the site of the public TV network ( which has roughly 40% of the market ). I even did a radio interview which was absolutely hilarious. All templates -- 8 in total -- got downloaded over 3100 times already ( in 8 days ), With a week to go to the elections, the number of downloads per day keeps rising. Conclusion : papercrafting got well known in Belgium. And maybe some people will find their way to more qualitative designs :D
