On a whim, I entered "The Dears", a papertoy collaboration I did with Ben the Illustrator, into this year's American Illustration, and it got in(!?!). Onto the website, not the book itself, but still I'm quite pleased. Apparently (from the email they sent out), "it was one of only 583 images from a record-breaking 8,100 submitted" to make the cut. Woot! I say next year, everyone here submit and we can take the thing by storm!
