Something I Picked up on...

The more I look at this site, the more I see people taking individual photos of their paper toys. Now, don't get me wrong, I love what you do, but you have to understand, its a but annoying and tedious looking through EVERY SINGLE ONE! >< sorry to be harsh but that's the way I see it. I'm not going to name names, but I've seen others profiles and they make a grouping of all of their paper toy creations, not one by one by one, etc... so, if you care to take the time to organize your paper toys, put them in a pleasing arrangement, and snap a photo to post on here, It would make me, and some others, well maybe just me, a little bit happier to be friendly on here. :) and again, I, In no way want to come off as a jerk, but SOMEBODY has got to say something.. ok ok. PEACE paper toy land.

I agree. Not to put anyone down, but when everyone posts their photos of individual models built that day, it takes some of the special out of building something so cool out of paper and ink. I like the idea that only a few of us make these things and that it takes effort and care and craftsmanship. I spend a lot of time debating what to print and what to build. I like to think about my collection holistically and I like to see other people's collections as a whole as well. I can't follow all of the toys I've seen posted recently. I can't wait to see a major collection with some of my designs in it. But I want it to be like looking for Waldo in the crowd. I want it to be special that someone thought enough of my work to add it to their collection. All of these individual builds and posts make it feel like a competition. Now, there is NOTHING wrong with building everything you want to, but maybe posting a collection shot with some care once a month might make it seem like it is less of a race. Please don't be offended by this comment, I just want the site not to be a race for the most built.

I'm new here, and I really hesitated to post my blog entry ( at first I didn't even realize that the blog entry I posted on my personal page was also published on the "general" blog ).
So I agree : it would be good to have some rules for newcomers concerning the blog entries.

    Thx for speaking out!

    Yo (Happy) Howz!
Okay, point taken. But it's like 3EyedBear said I'm becoming a museum of paperkits, so consider me the catalogue. And by the feedback I'm gettin' (not only on N.P.T.), I know it's appreciated. Especially with the links I post with it. I'm workin' on a group portrait but I gotta find a place first, were they can al pose and say "cheese!" So sorry guys I'm goin' to post some pic's of individual toys now. Mazzel Meth.
