pillola lamps papertoys tribute

Hi everyone :)

I think time has come now to share with you something i had a great pleasure to work on.

Here are the pillola lamps papertoys tribute !!

Pillola lamps are cult design objects created by Emanuele Ponzio and Cesare Casati in 1968.

The lamp was created for Ponteur. It belongs to the permanent collection of MOMA in New York.

These papertoys are customs i made on a template by

Jace "the world of imaginary friends" Jensen.

As soon i saw the pics of this papertoy, i thought of what i could do with...

I just had to ask Jace who agreed without any difficulty, even if he didn't already release the toy. The fact is the project was ... as it were forgotten...

That's why Jace was really glad i propose him to use the toy and give it life again :)

But i have to thank him millions times for sharing with me this template!!

this papertoy is a moveable papertoy.

The original lamp can be bent as you want, thanks to a mobile base. Obviously, this system complicates the construction of this papertoy. That is why I opted for a different principle, more simple, but requires the addition of a ball ...

This way, you can "play" with the lamp, as you can see in this video...

the zip file contains the regular template and a template to print it on colored cardstock.

It does not contain the ball, sorry :)

oh Leanne, just noticed you were telling me 'bout my mistake :]

    thx , corrected ;)

  • Leanne (Anne Götze-Piening)

I liked that mistake, very funny. It's not completely the same but it just comes to my mind that my best mistake in English ever was when I tried to explain to a British friend that I saw a motor cycle with a side car and said that I saw one with a coffin. The whole pub was roaring with laughter.
