Lovely Day

Hey!

it's been a while since my last post!

Hope everyone is well!

---

I take the opportunity of this post to explain a seriously problem.

I've received lot of mails asking to me why you can't download some of my papertoys, unfortunately, I have a bad news… Some Chinese companies (not only) take my papertoys and make money with it. Even if all my papertoys are protected by copyrights…they don't care about it and it's hard to do something with foreign companies…SO I decided to stop to sharing my works…It sucks I know but it's the only solution I've found to protect my work for good…

I think "sharing" takes a great place in the papertoy spirit, but we can't let some grasping guys make money with our works.

That's why this new papertoy can't be downloaded.

Be sure, I'm really sad and frustrated by this situation...

I have to find a solution but for now, sorry for that...

Cheers,

Tougui

bin c'est vraiment dommage! vraiment!  :[

  • baykiddead

the greedy will always ruin it for the rest of us. a shame to be sure. have you considered a subscription service?

  • 3Eyed Bear

    Another great one Tougui!

  • Cubeecraft

A number of mine are on sale on foreign sites, and I get sent pics of people in other countries with booths full of Cubeecraft for sale... Hell, I've even seen t-shirts.  You can't stop them in most cases, but locking them up means they will only proliferate via illegal means as these companies will keep printing them, and people who weren't selling them, who are the majority, will not be able to enjoy them.

  • Greenelf

That's a sad thing to hear Tougi.... but we will still be amazed with the work you will still create in the future and on your site :)

  • Methuup da Funky One

Sho' nuff sad news!!! He'd look so good in my fridge together with Harry, Barry & Gary.

  • Alicia Rubio Herrejon

It doesnt matter we love you for your talent, its a nice papertoy :D

  • Ivi

It's a shame...we all love your stuff...I guess if everyone that ever bought one of "your" toys from those wack fakers knew that thet could just download for free, we wouldn't have that problem. The Spirit of Paper should always be the joy of creativity and love of great ideas/design...PAPER FOR THE PEOPLE!

Keep on creating Tougui, even if we can't 'copy' your work! :)
  • Alicia Rubio Herrejon

And all your paper toys have your style, even if they want to make business about your work, a lot of people would find out that its your work, but its great that you defend yourself, its the only way they would stop doing that :S NICE ONE :D

  • Steo

:'( I really enjoy your work, don't want to see it go. Perhaps you could disclose your templates to a select group you trust, so they wont spread, but we can still build them?

  • Leanne (Anne Götze-Piening)

It's so annoying that they copy and sell your work. And its so sad that we cannot download it anymore. I really really hope there will be any kind of solution!!

  • Gio32k

I too hate it when others profit off of someone's work. Thats the risk of sharing your work online. maybe you could tryout a mail list.

  • sjhilbel

Sad, but understand. Please let us see your great work though!

  • jasoncbolt

Man those slimy suckerz. Your toys have always brought me joy sir Tougui. I look forward to the solution to the problem. Until then we will just have to enjoy looking :)

  • tougui

Thanks for your support all...I appreciate!

  • Mariette van Staveren

Really sad news, but very understandable, Tougui! Please keep in mind that you have a serious following of collectors, who would hate to miss out on anything you make, so keep showing your creations to us. Of course I love the free stuff, who doesn't, but I would also be willing to pay for your creations if I can afford it. It's better you earn something from your own hard labour than those thieves in China.
