As an answer to Greenelf's question, I'll admit I originally joined NPT because I was hoping someone would be willing to share some older Shin Tanaka's Br templates with me, (someone did :)

But I'll also admit I was more of a lurker afterwards, besides being shy, my reasoning being that I felt I was late into the paper toy movement (I stumbled upon it at the end of 2011) and didn't know that much about the different artists and their creations and also because I wasn't a designer/creator myself and I felt like I couldn't contribute much; But I did like coming to the site and seeing new designs and also seeing what kind of templates people were after. (Seeing the different designs was very eye opening for me as well, sometimes it felt more like art than just a paper toy :) Although, I hadn't been back to the site in a couple of years I was really saddened when I got the email. This always seemed like a friendly place and people were really willing to share what they had. I am very sad to see it go.

I've learned so much about the vast many paper toy artists and their creations from this site so I'd like to thank Brian for creating/setting up this place and all you friendly folks on this site!

P.S. I was also kind of wondering, would it be insensitive or rude if I asked for some older templates here while the site is still up? I've realized I've missed out on some awesome ones while going through some of the older posts. I want to say thanks in advance!

This was a fun place to be when papertoys were the trend and the novelty was still fresh in the air. I enjoyed seeing all the content pouring in from every corner. Talking with creators and building new toys. I still do. Because for me, it's more than trend and novelty.

It truly does break my heart to see our community being tossed to the wind. So, I'm starting a Discord server where we can continue meeting and talking about papertoys. I plan on having the server running full steam soon! kind of slow going atm, as I'm still learning the ropes. I'm hoping everyone joins and continues to show love for the craft, love for creators and, in time, see a resurgence in the community.

I echo the words of both Greenelf and Merrci. Especially thinking about Methuup! Rest in Piece brother, may your printers never run out of ink, and your blades always be sharp!

Even though I was a late comer and I can't claim the same artistic abilities as most, I feel priviledged to having been associated with the rest of you. It has been my pleasiure to be a part of this forum.

could never understand though why there is 6 thousand members but you never saw any more than a couple of other folk on line at the same time??? does not compute?

Nice words Merrci, was kind of strange that I was thinking of methuup today also even before seeing your post. Yep as stated there is always facebook to fall back on wether it's the NPT site or the other great artists out there too there will always be someone to help somebody out there as keeping with the NPT spirit which was set up by Brian of which we are all very grateful for and also grateful for being a great host over the past years!!

You're welcome! Glad I could help! :) There may be others. I'm not very familiar with that series.

Are you referring to the manga series? There is a Tomodachi from Cubeecraft. It is character #231. I have seen a more complicated one as well but I haven't fouind a download link for it so far.
