What to do when you're in a creative waste land.

Okay, so I know it isn't really an urban paper toy, but you have to admit that it is a freakin awesome model. This is a 14 page (11 x 17) model I found a few months back that has frightened me for too long. I decided that now was a good time to build it. I can't seem to get enthusiastic about my own stuff, so I decided to give myself a building challenge. And what a challenge. It took a solid week to build and the instructions were in Japanese. I didn't know how it was going to come out or how big the final model would be. That is my 24" iMac in the background.

If you want a challenge, go to the SF Paper Craft Gallery web site and look for the RENS HEAD TYPE-B model.

Now, maybe I can get back to being creative.

Thanks everyone for you kind words. It was a challenge to build and (hopefully) got my creativity re-charged. I hope to have pics of a complete dragon model by the end of the week.

Scott... this is amazing. Props for putting this fella together, and guess work too? Even more amazing! I have something similar in the works myself, though possibly not quite as elaborate... Brilliant stuf!

Now you know me, I've seen almost everything there is to build. Gundam, anime, manga models from over 40 pages, but this one is very nice. Jerom tried to get me to build one of the smaller SD Gundam models.
I told him maybe someday but I'm gonna tell people, Jerom made me do it. Who made you do it?
