BANZAI! I received the 2nd Solidboy protoype! The dimension and proportions of the parts are all the same. Amendment is made for the carving, especially to the carving depth, facial and spine pattern. We also decided to slightly enlarge the 'diamond' scale texture to increase the shape consistency, resulting a very accurate repetition. I purposely took this picture with natural lighting so you can really observe the texture, no photography trick is used here.. what you see is what I see..

Click here for a bigger picture.

In a few more days we are going to show you the finished look.

Please drop your comment about this second prototype, together we can make more fun projects =D

@idham_mahardika the 1st prototype is from teak wood, 2nd is from 'meh' wood... I don't know the english name for this so called 'meh' wood but it's lighter than teak wood and often used side by side with teak for furniture.

Hi everybody!

Thanx for the exciting comments, I'm really happy to know you all like how Solidboy developed.

@Mckibillo: the final look will be furnished with clear italian coating, I can't leave it uncoated because of quarantine issue

@Vinsart, Greenelf, idham_mahardika: this is wooden toy, made from waste wood so no monkey get homeless because of this piece =)

@3Eyedbear, Scott_Schaller: I'm still struggling with the production, it will be produced in a limited run as it really took time to do the carving. I guess it will be 'first come first serve' in term of ordering.

Really cool :D This version is better^^
Good to see a "wooden toy" without colors, only a simple texture :D

And I just have this idea: design a paper Solidboy custom with this carved/wooden textures . It'll be great too ;)
