Nice Paper Toys

The Papertoy Network!

Is there a simple way to wrap graphics around a 3D model without having to build it yourself? This is useful for toys with many customs that you're designing yourself... So you don't have to build the same toy about a hundred times!!

Man, am I lazy or what? Shoot me down if I am.

LOL....! Will blender do the trick? I can't do nuts with advanced 3D software. ugh.

Im familiar with Photoshop though - would that be CS3 that you're talking about? Im still using CS2.. Maybe I should upgrade soon.

HAHA! LAZY! ;) Ya know, I understand where you are coming from, because it can be a bit mundane building the same toy over and over. Not to mention making room for them all. However, it is quite rewarding to actually have them in your hands. But... of course, to answer your question, once you have the 3d model built, it should be fairly simple to swap out textures. Also, the latest Adobe Photoshop allows you to open and wrap 3d models right in the program. But you know, I use 3d very proficiently and I still build EVERY TOY! :) My 2¢
