Nice Paper Toys

The Papertoy Network!

No, it's not as exciting as it sounds...:P

Well to me it is, but anyway.

My first paper toy (Shelf Buddies) is complete. I have the instructions, template and completed model pics up on this site and i am looking for some people to make some custom designs for me. You will get full credit for your contribution to the project and once I get my own site up and running, you will also get a mention there. i am hoping to get around 10-12 designs for this "series". I know that i am probrably being WAY too optimistic, but im trying to be positive!

So please, send me a message on my profile and i'll get in touch with you :)

I am really excited about this project and i hope it goes far...ish... : P

Stay nice,

Anubis OUT!

P.S. I am going to send everyone on the site a message about this project so if you do not want to be a part of it then simply do not reply. if you DO wish to contribute, then message me on my profile right here on Nice Paper Toys.

cya round! :)

Anubis, where do I send my template?
I made a vectorial version, so if you want I can give you a PDF Template... :-)
I did change the top tabs around a bit, in order to make it easier to glue the top closed.

Pic of the "IceBuddy" will be up a bit later.

I'd like to have a go at it as well, could you send me a download-link or something for the template? It's quite an interesting shape.

I put together the basic shape yesterday. One thing I would change a bit is the gluetabs on the top part. It's really hard to glue the top part closed... For the rest it is a really nice shape.
I'll send you some pics as soon as I can.

I am too busy to sleep. But I am never too busy to help a friend with a custom toy. ;) I would love to do one.

well the arms and legs are just string. if you read the instructions it say that you also requires blutac which is used inside the hands and feet for weights. its pretty easy to build (to a certain degree) so yeh. But seeing as your busy with this other cool design, (mind uploading a pic?) I doubt that you'll have time to make a custom design for me. but its cool. :)

some other time maybe.
one good thing is that i've got nick knite thinking up an idea which, knowing him, will be awesome. im currently making a design but it is only a sketch and in early development.

but yeh.....tell me when you've got an idea for the design (that is if your wiling to think of somthing :P)

stay nice man! :)

Ha, I've just finished a new design that sits on the shelf as well. Mine is very different though. Yours looks fun. It sort of reminds me of the old school walking fruit/candy bar/soda, whatever, from old commercials and movie theater snack bar cartoons. What are the arms and legs made of?
