After building a few paper toys I decided to have a shot at designing one myself. I started doing sketches of various ideas and as I was doing them I decided I wanted a simple shape that I could easily modify for a series of models. Originally I was going to go for a "thinker" pose (i.e. sitting down, head resting on hand) and while some sketches seemed like they'd be simple enough I couldn't quite get it to be as simple as I'd like for my first… Continue

I've been working/experimenting with a curvy papermodel
Because I thought it could be curvier I made an evolution version:
I'm not totally happy with the second model, but I've been working to long on it to just throw it away.
So I'm letting you guys/girls decide:
Which one is better?

These were fun to make. A little hard on the details but I like the way they turned out. I made these for a cable channel website here in Brazil. The design is not very complex so it wouldn't be so hard to build. You can dowload the two at
Just wait for the site to load. Then click on the "Paper Toy" button.

Semar and his sons Gareng, Dawala and Cepot are the servants of kings and ksatrias with good behavior fighting for the truth. Togog and Bilung, on the contrary are serving bad rulers and knights. Now that I've finally "opened" my shop,
the limited edition SIZZA
made out of plastic is available there, too! (;
Only 20 SIZZA 3D-Prints
were made and they are small, but funky!!
The Size is 6×4 cm (2.5×1.6 inches) and he comes in a protective casing, which I think fits the design really good.. (;
I'd leave it on and design something including it..
Check it out!…
