Nice Paper Toys

The Papertoy Network!

Here are some Fathers Day greeting card concepts I did about a year ago when I was still under the employ of Hallmark Cards. They were little pop-out and assemble paper toys. The card fronts looked like product boxes and the insides looked like an old model kit. I was hoping at least one of these would be produced. But alas, they will never see the light of day as real cards, so i thought I'd share them with you.

I'm having the biggest problem to create "friendly"/cute papertoys, but you don't have that problem. To bad they never got produced.
Love the old model kit look.

Thanks guys I'm awful fond of them too. That's why it breaks my heart they'll never see production.
Yeah, unfortunatley these designs are owned by Hallmark so I can't do anything with them. The place I work at now doesn't currently do any "retail" type products it's all geared for "wholesale".

Matt--We know you've got a daytime gig--do they have the ability to release or market these kinds of products? As a father of 3 kids, if I went card shopping and they saw that kind of packaging, they would instantly be drawn to it. I don't think most of us have the marketing access to launch something like this, but it seems like Someone would see the potential in it. Dunno if this falls under Hallmark's intellectual property or what. There's always your online Custom Shop...(he says, painfully optomistic...)
