Nice Paper Toys

The Papertoy Network!

Information

NPT Year One

I have decided to do a book of the very best paper toys by you, the NPT members. Make sure your favorite toys make it into the book.

Members: 65
Latest Activity: Jan 14, 2012

Please list your top 3 favorite toys by other artists! (You may also list as many other favorites as you like)

Be sure to include links to the toys you choose. It would also be helpful if you would add a photo of them here as well.

Entries must be submitted by March 1st, 2010.

Anything from 2008-the end of 2009 will be considered, as long as they are by NPT members.

Please help to make NPT Year One a shining example for the incredible talent and wonderful toys that makes NPT so great!

Ok so I changed the ground rules a little. Feel free to list as many of your favorites as you like. Just be sure to put the top 3 favorites first.

Keep in mind, this is not a contest, it is just to make it easier for me to ensure that I don't miss anything that deserves to make it into the book.

I would love to have my paper creations featured in the book but don't think they are good enough as compared to the rest...:)

Ok the artists that I like:
Scott Charron
'Calling All Cars' by Horrorwood
Cubee

We forgot about one special person!!! even tho they didn't mention his name but i think he has given a lot of ideas to the Papertoys scene!! without him.. i think i might be still stuck in the same phase until this very day... he inspired a lot of artist to move forward and to be better in what they do!! he is Scott Scaller we have seen his custom a lot in this site before!!! and I think that everyone have to agree with me if i said he had done a lot of kick ass Custom!! all of his custom deserved a place in the book!!

I am so glad that he had give his personal touch onto my template!! thanks man!

It is very hard for me to pick MY BEST. Plus, as someone may have already said, we can all agree SHIN SHIN SHIN, so let's pick some others, KAY? You don't have to pick me, mind you, although I would like to be in a book called "NPT year one", I may even think I was BORN to be in such a book, but if this is based on FAVORITES alone, then my chances seem slim.

So, I will pick THREE that I really really really liked, and come to mind immediately, but seriously, I love SO MANY so very much that I think 3 favorites nominated by only a fraction of the community simply isn't enough information to build a book out of, but I trust Castleforte, the end result of any project I have seen of his is always AWESOME. I expect NPT YEAR ONE to be no less.

So, anyway, here's uh...

Paul Shih X Dolly Oblong Paper Totem custom ( I think this was mentioned, but I still love this little 3 piece model!)

Commander Video by BRYAN @ paperfoldables ( super simple, super stylish, speaks volumes to me )

Barong by Sal Azad ( picking your favorite SAL AZAD model, for someone who is as big a fan of his as I am, is far from easy. So I just picked one. His BARONG is simply exquisite, so very beautiful...is this model too old, I dunno, but SAL AZAD better be in this book. You like SHIN so very much? Well, that's how I fell about SAL. He is probably the most original among us, borrowing virtually NOTHING from the world of VINYL, and truly infusing his CULTURE into what he does, I just love it! Rock n Freakin' roll is what it tis! Inspiring!)

I would hope that the "essential" artists have already been chosen, and this is a way to narrow down which models will be shown, as well as hopefully point out someone who hasn't been thought of. I hope more people vote, really.

Long days and pleasant nights! ^^

I find it difficult te choose because there are so many designs that should be in this book.

But with a gun to my head I would scream:

NodderDog by 3EyedBear
http://www.flickr.com/photos/3eyedbear/3833952600/

Gammon by Salt and Paper

Paper Injuries by Marshall Alexander

Not really choosen with a gun to my head: I choose some papertoys that are not mentioned yet but are very cool!

But because I want to make sure that the following are also in the book I mention them also:

half shark alligator half man by Jonny Chiba

Tougui needs to be in the book

It would only be appropriate that the winner gets a paper oscar :)
Here are my 3 in no particular order :
Godzilla X nanibird by DMC
halfsharkalligatorhalfman by Jonny Chiba
Tita by Zerolabor

And I'd also like to add ...
Marshall ALexander's Santa and Marko Zubak's Ninja's, there's Draggzor by Jerom, Flame on! by Thedaydreamkid ... there's crust from Slazad/abz, Tucky Nanbird from Dolly Oblong.
