3D shape and net with glueless folding technique?

Hello,

I am doing a school project and I have a 3D shape which I made in sketchup and got a net for it too. However I was wondering if anyone could suggest and glueless method of putting them together (except tape as well)

I am planning on using 2mm cardboard for it

Interesting shape!

I dont have much experiece with glueless models, the example you have put up of the speakers I think will be a bit complex to make work for your design, One way you could do it is like Cubeecraft's way you have a flap on one edge, and a tab on the other, and the tab inserts into the flap where its red, other than that im not sure of other ways that will work, good luck =)

There is another way, which is sort of like what Dan is talking about..."Slots and tabs."

Its "Tabs and Pockets"...

Vins (http://www.vinsart.it look under his papertoys) does a good job of utilizing this technique, since his work is pretty much glue-less. It's folding paper over, around or under each other to create pockets that grip and hold the tabs.

I think another good example of "Tabs and Pockets" would be those little paper stars that seem so trendy right now.
