I realize this linked toy is supposed to be a freebie deal for inspiring a church youth ministry outreach, but that somehow makes it all the worse to so blatantly plagiarize. This one bugs me.

These I would certainly contact. (The e-mail is right there in the PDF...) This is a straight rip off, I don't care that it was a freebie for an organization. they even used the image of the speakerdog, but they cut off the ears....

It's a bit bad for a catholic organisation to forget the eighth commandment, isn't it? ...

I demand that you demand an apology! ;-)

Holy Smoke! (haha, literally). Thanks so much for showing us this! Another terrible rip-off, we're going to give them an email today, see what they say! There is constantly so much ripping-off, makes my wife, Fi, and I are constantly sick of it, not just in the paper toys but the illustration and design world too!

I'll let you know what they say, and also perhaps I'll show and tell a few more rip-offs later too!

Hmm, I see I already posted that link. Heh.

Anyway. There is a reason I feel strongly about this stuff.

I too got inspired by Ben's Speakerdog. But, and I hope that I am right here, I was inspired by the shape, and didn't just stretch and maybe remove stuff.

My little devil has the speakerdog curves (Not that noticable in the photo, cheap paper version...) and has the same way of making ears (or horns in my case), The feet construction is also based on how the speakerdog has them.

Still I feel that it is different enough to show to people.
It's made out of one piece of paper, it has arms etc.

Inspiration is not a bad thing. Stealing is.

these are not twins but real clones....
It's a shame because it is from a company who use them to promote their own skillz...
